About our Coaches...

Megan 'Meg' Mirick

Born and raised in
Burke, VA, Megan came to Ohio on a lacrosse scholarship where she became the most decorated Buckeye as a Midfielder on the OSU varsity team.  A repeat All-American, ALC Player of the Year and member of the OSU Hall of Fame, Megan owns most offensive records for the University including Most Goals Scored. After her collegiate career, Megan took the position as the Assistant Coach for Division I, Ohio State Buckeyes for six seasons.  During this time the Buckeyes were conference (ALC) champions, made a NCAA appearance and National Ranking.  Her favorite part of coaching Lucky Lax is watching how much players improve!  She is positive and fun!

Kimberly 'K Lowe' Lowe

From Philadelphia, K Lowe was a OSU defensive standout who was known for her ability to intercept, cause a turnover for the opponent, and mark-up better than the rest. Kimberly was a Captain and All-American for the Buckeyes.  You'll be sure to notice her strong voice from the sideline and her impressive ability to motivate and work with each team and each individual.  Kimberly currently works in Alumni Relations at OSU and has worked with Lucky Lax since its creation in 2003.  Her favorite part of coaching Lucky Lax is "watching the ladies mature as lacrosse players over the years". With a one-of-a-kind coaching style, Kimberly describes herself as an "energetic, passionate coach who loves the game of lacrosse".  She brings this passion to the Lucky Lax fields.

Alicia 'Leesh' McClure
A Philadelphia native, Leesh came to the great state of Ohio as a recruited scholarship player for the Buckeyes.   Another Defensive standout, Leesh holds accolades galore from her home town and was a two-time Buckeye Power Member during her time at OSU.  A seasoned camp coach, Leesh has a great talent working with youth.  Her favorite part of working with Lucky Lax is "Watching the girls develop not just through the winter session but from year to year.”  How would Leesh describe herself as a coach?  "I find that if you are not having fun as a player then you typically will not perform well either, so I try to bring a lot of energy to the game and make sure the girls are having a blast".

Lindsay 'Pipes' Pieper
From Albany, NY, Lindsay was a standout player at Virginia Tech where she was honored as a member of the 2006 All-ACC Academic team and an All-ACC selection.  Lindsay was also honored as a 2006 IWLCA All-Region second team pick, 2006 VaSID first team member and named team MVP for two seasons and team Rookie of the Year in 2004.  To top it all off, she was a BIG EAST Academic All-Star in 2004 and finished her career as one of two people to hold a spot in the top 10 of all six career statistical categories at Virginia Tech.  Lindsay coached at the Caterham School Lacrosse Coach in Surrey, England and has coached with the Albany Capitals.  Her favorite thing about coaching Lucky Lax is helping the girls excel while having fun at the same time.  As a coach, she describes herself as "all about the fundamentals".

Alli 'Mac' MacMeekin
A Baltimore, MD native, Alli attended the prestigious Notre Dame Prep School  where she played four years of lacrosse and soccer, earning the IAAM State Championship in 2003.  She was also named top athlete for the 2003 class, Elite 300 All-Star and honored as the 2003 Unsung Hero. Alli was a recruited player at Ohio State in 2003, playing her last season in 2008.  During her time with the Buckeyes
she contributed greatly in the midfield and defense.  Energetic and enthusiastic, Alli loves working with Lucky Lax players.

Kristen Gilwee
Another Baltimore, MD native, Gilwee was an Ohio State recruited athlete.  Starting in her freshman season with the Buckeyes, Gilwee made an impact as a Goalie from the very beginning.  Throughout her four years she earned various honors. Gilwee was an All-Conference Player and recognized as a Scholar Athlete.  She is in the ranking for most saves in OSU history and brings a great deal of goal keeping knowledge to Lucky Lax.  Not only is she excellent when working with GK's but also has great ability with field players.  Therefore, she is used in both capacities with Lucky Lax.

We're not finished....we have more Bio's to come and more coaches for you to meet!
